AI engines extract from FAQ blocks more readily than from any other content shape. The pattern is simple: a clear question, a 2โ4 sentence answer, repeated. That structure mirrors the way a model is trained to retrieve and quote โ short, self-contained Q/A units.
Pages with FAQ schema get cited disproportionately in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity answers. Pages without FAQs leave that surface area unbuilt. The Lumos FAQ Generator builds it from any URL.
What you see inside Lumos
The preview is an FAQ block generated by Lumos for one of our own blog posts โ five questions, each with a tight 2โ4 sentence answer, each scored by how citable AI engines are likely to find it.
The full Lumos platform does three things this preview cannot:
- Generates FAQ schema for every page Lumos audits, on a schedule.
- Scores each question by predicted AI citation likelihood, so you ship the highest-yield FAQs first.
- Ties FAQs back to the buyer-intent prompts they answer, so you can prioritize FAQs that close real visibility gaps.
The generator is free with signup.
Common FAQ mistakes
Writing FAQs for marketing voice. AI engines extract the answer verbatim. If the answer is fluffy or buzz-loaded, it gets cited that way. Write answers a journalist would.
Answers that are too long. Two to four sentences is the sweet spot. A six-sentence answer rarely gets extracted whole โ AI engines either truncate or skip it.
Questions that are too specific to your brand. "How does our pricing tier compare to Pro?" gets answered only when someone names your brand in the prompt. "What's a typical price for a GEO platform?" gets cited across the buyer-intent surface.
Missing FAQ schema in JSON-LD. A visible FAQ section without schema markup is invisible to some AI engines. Lumos ships the schema with the content.
One-time FAQ generation. Buyer questions shift. AI engine queries shift. Lumos regenerates FAQs on a schedule so the citable surface stays fresh.

FAQ
What's special about an AI-shaped FAQ?
AI-shaped FAQs use direct question phrasing that mirrors real user queries, with 2-4 sentence answers that land the key point in the first sentence. They include enough context to be extractable verbatim โ no 'click here for more' dangling references.
Why generate from a URL instead of from scratch?
Generating from an existing page guarantees the FAQs match your live content. AI engines cross-check the FAQ against the page; FAQs that contradict the page get downweighted. Generating from URL keeps everything in sync.
Why is the demo run on a Lumos blog post?
We ran it on one of our own published pages so you can compare the source URL against the generated FAQs and verify every Q&A is grounded in the live page content. No customer data is exposed in the demo.
Is this the same as the full Lumos FAQ generator?
No โ this is a static example. The full Lumos platform fetches your URL live, extracts FAQs tuned to query patterns it sees in ChatGPT and Gemini for your domain, and emits FAQPage JSON-LD ready to ship.
How do I add the FAQs to my page?
Two ways. Visible: add the Q&A pairs to the page body, ideally as an `<h2>FAQ</h2>` section with `<h3>` for each Q. Structured: emit `FAQPage` JSON-LD with the same Q&A pairs. Do both โ AI engines pick up both signals.
