Your buyers do not consult an "AI engine" in the abstract โ they open Claude, ask a buyer-intent question, and read what comes back. Whether Claude mentions your brand at all, where you appear in the answer, and how it frames you compared with competitors decides whether you make the shortlist. How Lumos generates this data
Lumos sends each tracked prompt to Claude on a daily cadence using its public API surface, parses the response, and extracts brand mentions, ranks, and cited URLs. We deduplicate near-identical responses, normalize brand names against a known entity list, and store every response so you can audit history. No scraping, no proxies โ just the same API you would call yourself, run on a schedule and structured for monitoring.
Common questions and caveats
Why is my Claude score different from my ChatGPT score? Because Claude draws on different sources. A high-authority page on your site may be missing from Claude's retrieval set even if it is loved by ChatGPT. This is exactly the kind of gap a per-engine view exposes.
Does Claude hallucinate brands? Occasionally, yes โ and Lumos flags single-occurrence mentions so you do not chase noise. Themes only matter when they appear across multiple prompts.
Can I track non-branded prompts? Yes, and you should. Branded prompts always mention you; the real test is whether Claude surfaces you when the buyer types a generic category query.
